La Herradura Polo Club
Located an hour north of Santa Barbara in Santa Ynez (Wine Country)
Memo Gracida’s world renowned La Herradura is a beautiful polo facility in Santa Ynez, California, nestled less than an hour north of Santa Barbara in wine country!
Enjoy high-goal play with Memo, his hand-picked crew of polo professionals and well-schooled, professionally trained polo ponies. Here polo prayers of all levels develop their skills, some going on to win numerous U.S. Open Champions.
Sessions will consist of personal clinics in the mornings with riding, stick and ball, and fun drills designed by Memo. Along with his instructions, you will receive help from qualified high-goal players dedicated to improve your game immediately. Matches will be played on beautifully manicured polo fields and custom-made trophies will be presented at the end of each match.
Costa Careyes Polo Club
located three miles south of the Costa Careyes resort.
Inaugurated in 1990, the club has 2 regulation Bermuda grass fields and stabling for 150 horses. There are 60 playing ponies for every level of play, on site during the season ready with grooms and full tack. Games are held four times a week – normally Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
Careyes Polo Club has been the host for International Federation of Polo (FIP) playoffs with teams from USA, Canada, Guatemala, and the Dominican Republic, two Ambassadors Cups, Bodegueros Cup and La Herradura clinics with the famous Gracida brothers. Careyes has also been the home of major Hugh Dawnay known for his clinics and several books written on polo. Players frequent from USA, Germany, Italy, Spain, England, Peru, Colombia, Argentina, Brazil and Mexico. Many of the players are Costa Careyes home owners. Since the year 2000, with the famous Agua Alta tournament, Costa Careyes Polo Club became a truly international club. The club is affiliated with the Mexican Polo Association (FMP) and is a sister club of the Chantilly Polo Club in France.

Horses, equipment & tack provided
If you have your own equipment, fantastic, bring it. If you are new to the game and don't have all of your equipment yet, we request that you bring your own boots. Most any kind of riding or cowboy boot will be sufficient. All other equipment necessary to play polo will be provided.
